DISRUPTED PAINTING WORKSHOP

We will be creating one large painting in this expressive, disruptive manner.

Using fun mark making, experimental paint application, expressive brush strokes and materials but starting with a traditional base/block in.   

My painting will be large  30 x 20”. I would encourage you to use a larger panel. It’s easier to be more expressive on a larger surface.

We need a strong block in so that when we go nuts with the paint we don’t lose our drawing. Especially if we need to wipe some away. 

The more you have “blocked in”  the easier it will be 

For this class, you will need multiple palette knives, variety of bristle and sable brushes, any old credit cards, paper towel, old toothbrush if you have it,  if you don’t have these it’s ok!  Any fun and odd materials are encouraged.  

Make sure you have a large mixing palette. 

Or multiple palettes. (The rest of materials are listed below. These are just defeated. You do not need everything. This is what I use.  Since This is experimental, almost any supplies work! 

I start by demoing & explain the process. experimenting how to do this "disrupted" fun,  expressive color and mark making, palette knife painting technique and suggesting what areas are best to “disrupt”.
